Theatre props are more than just a list. They are an opportunity to create objects that support the story being told on stage. This workshop discusses how to create successful props that are integrated into the production process, so they can be appreciated by everyone who uses them and builds them. Heather will share some fun hands on exercises that you can bring back to your classroom to help guide the prop builder through the process of information gathering, material selection, and building methods, through creative inquiry and problem solving techniques.
In the spirit of prop building, anything you bring can and will be useful, but scissors, pens, and masking tape would be recommended.
